How do we configure Products?
Setting up products in Revenue Cloud Advanced requires organizing them into catalogs and categories. Here's a basic workflow for product configuration:
Create Catalog: Organize products into specific catalogs and categories for easier management and retrieval.
Search Product Catalog Management in App Launcher
Click on Home Tab and Select Catalog.
Create Catalog
Create Category:

Create Product and Assign Category: After defining your categories, create the product and associate it with the relevant category.

From the app navigation menu, Select Products
Click on New button
Go to Related tab on Product to assign category
Define Product Selling Model and Price Book Entry: Define the selling model (e.g., subscription, one-time) and link it to the appropriate price book entry.
Go to related tab on Product.

Assign Product Classification (for Products with Attributes): If your product has multiple attributes, assign the appropriate classification to ensure accurate configuration.

Create new Product Classification.
How to Set Up a Validation Rule?
Validation rules help ensure that product configurations adhere to predefined criteria. Here’s how to set one up:
Enable Configuration Rule in Revenue Settings: In Salesforce, enable the setup configuration rule under Revenue Cloud settings.
Create Validation Rule: Define the specific criteria products must meet before they can be added to an order.
